In the Newborn Medicine Center at Istishari, our mission is to ensure that every baby has a chance for a healthy beginning to life. Our regular nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are equipped with advanced technology and are staffed with internationally trained neonatologists providing highly specialized care for neonatal disorders.
We are continuously developing and improving our treatment programs for babies with:
Our regular nursery includes 18 cribs, 2 incubators, 2 radiant warmers, and a high nurse-to-baby ratio.
Istishari Hospital also offers fetal and maternal care, including fetal surgery, for you and child as your baby grows in the womb.

Our vision is to provide a model neonatal intensive care system through exceptional health care services that utilize current knowledge and technology to provide safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care.
We treat our unit as a complex adaptive system where foresight and comprehensive planning prepare for every possibility.
To accomplish our vision we use current health equality concepts, Total Quality Management, lean system waste elimination and Six Sigma rules.
Our experienced, compassionate staff works hard to ensure that each of our NICU babies and their families receives the best possible support and care throughout their stay in the NICU. For babies in critical condition, we have the capacity to provide a 1:1 nurse-to-baby ratio when necessary, ensuring that every baby in our NICU has personalized, attentive care at all times.
The NICU is located on the same floor as the labor and delivery unit, so that mothers may be close to their babies while they are recovering from the birthing process.
Our NICU includes a total of 10 incubators. We have three isolation rooms for, especially sick or fragile babies. At Istishari, we cut no corners in ensuring that each newborn and NICU baby receives the best care possible.
