Each month, we welcome close to 200 newborns into the world in our delivery rooms. Members of our expert team of nurses and midwives will accompany you through the birthing process, so that every step along the way is as comfortable and well supported as possible. Our provisions for the comfort and safety of you and your child include:
State of the art, fully equipped en-suite labor rooms:
- Private bathrooms
- LCD TV screens
- Hill-Rom fully adjustable delivery beds
- Fetal and maternal monitors
- Newborn warmer cribs
Our doctors perform emergency cesarean sections when necessary for the health of the mother and baby. When newborns require surgery upon delivery, they are usually transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, allowing families to remain on the same floor. One person is allowed to attend the delivery and be with you through labor, to offer you the support you need during the birthing process.
At Istishari Hospital we know how precious your newborn is, and for some parents the journey to parenthood has been long awaited, therefore, we established a state of the art nursery unit to accommodate our youngest patients. In addition, our advanced neonatal intensive care unit provides care for pre term babies and full term babies that have also been transferred from various hospitals in Amman, Jordan and or the MENA region.
Maternity Visiting Hours
We offer flexible visiting hours in our birthing unit and allow one person to visit at any time, day or night. Visitors need to ring the doorbell in both the birthing section and the nursery in order to gain admission. Only parents–mother or father are allowed in the nursery.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the waiting areas
- People with colds, sore throats, or any contagious diseases should not visit
