Patient Responsibilities


As a patient at Istishari Hospital, it is your responsibility to

  • Provide, to the best of your knowledge, accurate and complete information about present complaints, past illnesses, hospitalization, medication, pain and pain management, and other matters relating to your health status
  • Inform us of any changes in your condition or symptoms
  • Ask questions when you are uncertain, confused, or desire more information
  • Follow instructions and advice given, understanding that you must accept the consequences if you refuse
  • Follow hospital policies and procedures affecting your care
  • Comply with hospital regulations regarding visitation hours and the number of visitors permitted in each unit
  • Comply with hospital guidelines about the prohibition of bringing outside meals to patients
  • Respect follow-up appointments, and inform us if you need to reschedule
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that supports the well being of other patients and health care providers
  • Consider the rights of other patients and the hospital staff
  • Respect hospital property and those pertaining to others
  • Understand that smoking inside the hospital is strictly prohibited
  • Abide by hospital security and general safety instructions
  • Pay your bills or make arrangements to meet your care financial obligations
