Safety Policies

It is essential to always identify who enters patient's rooms and why. All of our employees are required to wear Istishari Hospital identification badges while on the premises. Hospital tags should clearly indicate the employee's name, photo, and department. If an employee is not wearing an identification badge, or the information is not clearly visible, please ask to see proper identification. All employees should identify themselves when they enter your room and indicate what service they are performing while there. If at any time you need confirmation of any hospital employee, or are suspicious of any individual entering your room, we encourage you to call your patient representative.

Please be advised that the hospital is not responsible for any lost or misplaced items. As a precautionary measure, please leave all valuable belongings at home. For items that need to remain in your possession, please contact our cashier's office for safe keeping in our hospital safe. You will be given a receipt that must be present when you reclaim your valuables. If you need assistance, please contact your patient representative or nurse. Although we are diligent in ensuring your safety and security, any items that were not submitted to the safe deposit box are not the responsibility of Istishari Hospital.

For the health of our patients, visitors, employees, and volunteers, and to promote the health and wellness of the people and communities we serve, Istishari Hospital provides a smoke-free environment in all of our facilities. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Patient confidentially is a principle that we take very seriously at Istishari Hospital. All hospital employees are custodians of patient medical and personal information. Solicitors are strictly forbidden on the premise and can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
